Kedoshim Holies be means be creatives bc I'm the Creator

Abstract

Last Shabbat May 7, 2022, at CBI’s Limud Torah we read Kedoshim from Leviticus 19-20. The burning question on everybody mind was what does holy mean? This is my response to said inquiry, my way of engaging with the words of the Torah. I’m a commonsensical person, not a rabbi nor a scholar. Don’t knock it till you’ve tried it; in any case this is a rough draft. The truth of the matter is that the traditional way of religious sages and secular scholars isn’t working. The world is just as broken before them as after them. What’s needed is a creative restart with Genesis 1:1a/א.

The starting point of the argument is the quote from Levi 19:2 regarding being holies. The initial middle part is achieved using the Shema matching the sign with the hand from Deut 6:8. The following middle part as well as the conclusion is taken from the Creation Story in Genesis 1-2 of world mastery.

My claim is: Holies ye be, for Holy I am, YHVH your Elohim means Creatives ye be amongst creatures, for Creator of Creation I am, YHVH your Elohim.

Before opening any discussion comes addressing the nature of the Torah. Is it to be understood holistically, or as happening triadically in mass-space-time? If holistically, however much it’s written triadically so that it’s understood, then tiyu be (תִּהְי֑וּ) is in the imperative, not in the future. That said, the road is open to use it all to carry out the assignment, of engaging in the words of Torah. This means Imperative-S / Future-D Present-R Past-P.

That is, that we’re not to sit around waiting for kingdom come, but rather always be on top of the job. There is not a before nor an after, solely a continuous present, unfolding much like the scroll on the bimah.

To this effect we need to combine classic Archaic Middle East and Antiquity Greece, Modernity Europe, and Contemporary Global contributions. This means that all the parts make up a greater picture, and it’s our job to figure it out as la’asoth bedivrey Torah. Like gematria adding down the numbers of the words to the root joining things helps bring out the tapestry design much easier. This background is covered in other parts of the website and will be assumed herein in what follows. Let’s then get back on focus and continue our query.

The sequence is holy, via the hand, to our being creative as YHVH is the Creator. YHVH created not from nothingness, but out of wholeness. So must we, be creative out of wholeness-S / unto the triad of the Spiritual-D Mental-R Physical-P.

Argument

Let’s start by quoting in full the relevant passage of holiness in Leviticus 19:1-2.
Leviticus 19:1
And spoke YHVH to Moses, saying:
2
Speak to the whole Israelite community and say to them: You shall be holy, for I, your God YHVH, am holy.

Let’s start by doing the math before connecting with the words.
Kadosh Holy (קָד֔וֹשׁ). Kof K (ק) 100, Dalet D (ד) 4, Vav V (ו) 6, Shin Sh (ש) 300. 100+4+6+300=410=>4+1+0=5. The Creator as Holy is 5.
Kedoshim Holies (קְדֹשִׁ֣ים). Kof K (ק) 100, Dalet D (ד) 4, Shin Sh (ש) 300, Yod Y (י) 10, Mem M (ם) 40. 100+4+300+10+40=454=>4+5+4=13=>1+3=4. The Beney Israel Children of Israel (בְּנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל) is 4. The Adam as humanity s addressed collectively not individually. Humanity is 4.

Now unto making the connection with the Shema, in particular Deuteronomy 6:8. Let’s start by quoting the relevant passage.
Deut 6:8
Ukshartam l’ot ‘al-yadekha, vehayu letotafot beyn ‘eynekha.
Couple the sign to your hand and let them be as droppings between your eyes.

The traditional interpretation of Rabbinism of Deut 6:8 as Tefillin (phylacteries) may very well be the case, but hardly makes a dent to improving people’s lives who live on the brink of existence.

The ’oth sign (אות), yad hand (יד) and totafot droppings (טֹטָפֹ֖ת) are the points to consider. Note that sign consists of the first letter alef a (א) 1 and last letter tav t (ת) 400 of the alphabet, joined by the letter vav v (ו) 6, same which translates as “and”.
’Oth sign (א֖וֹת). 1+6+400=>407=>11=>1+1=2. Twoness out of dual oneness.
Le’Oth to the sign (לְא֖וֹת). 30+1+6+400=>437=>14=>5.
It’s referring to the universe, from beginning aleph to end tav, joined by vav.
Yad hand (יד). Yud Y (י) 10, Dalet D (ד) 4. 10+4=14=>1+4=5. The yad hand (יד) is referring to the seizeable of the universe from an edge.
The sight instantly catches a glimpse of the heavens, but the hand can only seize it from the edge at best, to turn the page.
Totafot droppings (טֹטָפֹ֖ת). Tet tet peh tav. 9+9+80+400=>498=>21=>3. Main triad-PRD of PaRaDiSe as whole-S / triad-PRD.

The idea here is that the cosmos, macro and micro, maps unto us at its intersection. In physics the mantra is that if you can’t visualize it, it’s because you’re not understanding it. In that vein of thought, PaRaDiSe stands for 5 as frame, whereas S stands for whole as 4, as ellipse, and consecutively D for the imaginary 3, R for the mental 2, and P for the real or physical of mass-space-time 1, of the right-triangle. (See slide depiction.)

Now joining the first part to the latter, we have that the Creator as Kadosh Holy (קָד֔וֹשׁ) is 5, all PaRaDiSe, S, D, R, P. Is the hand which is made of five fingers joined by the palm.
Humanity as Kedoshim holies (קְדֹשִׁ֣ים) is 4, lacks PaRaDiSe, only has S whole, D, R, P triad parts.
This can be easily visualized by way of the frame PaRaDiSe, ellipse S, and right triangle PRD as in the square, ellipse, and right-triangle visual provided.
Let’s now make the correspondences between the ’Oth sign (א֖וֹת) and the Yad hand (יד), in line with the idea that’s we’re the x-cosmos. We’ll have more to say about humanity and the Creator later, but for the moment let’s leave it at that.
PaRaDiSe is thumb, S is index finger, D is middle finger, R is ring finger, P is small finger.
The idea behind PaRaDiSe is that it represents the back of YHVH, the best view we’ll ever have, as per Moses at Exodus 33:17-23.
The infinite insofar as feasible finite would be kedoshim, a part, yet apart from our worldly experiences. Be all we can be, all there is, seize all you can of the universe from a corner.

Humanity is made in the image and likeness of YHVH, and consulting making Adam, though solely by Itself created Adam, as per Genesis 1:26-27.
Genesis 1:26-27.
26
And God said, “Let us make humankind in our image, after our likeness. They shall rule the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, the cattle, the whole earth, and all the creeping things that creep on earth.”
27
And God created humankind in the divine image, creating it in the image of God—creating them male and female.

To be like YHVH we somehow need to access the thumb represented in the Torah Teaching. The cue is passed on by Moses at Genesis 1:1a/alef as the master key, same which I encode as PaRaDiSe.
Genesis 1:1a/א
(Alef) InBeginningOf created Elohim, language with the heaven and language with the earth.

Conclusion

Holy and holies Leviticus 19:1-2, hand as in Deuteronomy 6:8, and creative as in Genesis 1:1a/alef.
By way of illustrative example. Can you open a safety deposit box solely with your personal key? Or do you need the banker’s master key as well, acting in unison? Same thing here regarding accessing the teachings of the Torah.
The starting point of civilization as culture is without a doubt the first word of Genesis 1:1a in combination with the first letter of Hebrew /alef, as Genesis 1:1a/alef. My contribution is that this spells out in lay terms as the PaRaDiSe application, that the whole-S is made of triad of parts-PRD.

Comments

Schematic flux diagram. Holy (Leviticus), matching the sign to the and hand (Deut), creatives as masters of nature (Genesis).
Holy-S / Creative-PRD, as Intuitive-D Insightful-R Heuristic-P
Not go on the tangent of the 3-S culture of Sex-P, Success-R, Salvation-D, rather about Creativity-/. Not of twoness but of oneness.
It doesn’t say explicitly be creative, that’s precisely our creativity in action. That’s the point of apprenticeship, of the art of mastery.
